The Office of Diversity and Human Rights is an independent and impartial office reporting directly to the University president. It promotes a work, study and living environment free of discrimination and harassment. It helps foster an inclusive University community, works to identify and resolve human rights related issues and ensures employment equity and accessibility for everyone.

Student Accessibility Services works to create a barrier-free environment where all students can achieve their potential. It provides a variety of resources and services for students with disabilities to help them have full and equitable participation in academic life.

Counselling Services

Counselling Services offers individual and group counselling to support University of Guelph students as they work through personal challenges that affect their ability to succeed at school and in other areas of their lives. Services are provided by a team of registered social workers, psychotherapists and therapy interns.

Student Support Network

The Student Support Network is comprised of a team of caring and highly trained student volunteers ready to provide a supportive ear to members of the campus community. Volunteers offer confidential, non-judgmental listening and support as well as helpful information and referrals.

Drop-in peer support is available at the Raithby House as well as in the McLaughlin Library (Room 111) during fall and winter semesters. Please contact SSN for more information.

Wellness Education Centre

The Wellness Education Centre is the educational arm of Wellness Services. It is a student-driven safe space where University of Guelph students can seek information and support about health and well-being. Peer-to-peer education is the driving force behind WEC initiatives, including drop-in peer consultations, interactive programming, and resource distribution.

Support for Distance Education (DE) Students

Student support services are available to all University of Guelph students, including those that are enrolled in distance education programs. Distance Education students can access these services by phone, email, or an in-person visit. Additional services are also available at FeelingBetterNow, where video counselling and other resources can be found.
